2021 Basketball History
The Friday night basketball games were played a the Rider Field House starting with the girls basketball game and the East all-stars beating the West 43-30. Next was the boys with the East again defeating West 79-59.  The thing the score doesn't tell is that a you that a young man named Landon Condiff from Callisburg put up nearly l/2 of the East teams points.  If you like basketball and didn't get to see this young man play, YOU MISSED OUT!

2022 Basketball History
Girls Basketball:  The East team let the West most of the night and were up 17 points at half-time.  Thanks to hard work especiall from Gracyn Fields from Iowa Park and Rider's Kylie Flippin with 3:40 let in the game, the East was only down by 1 point.  The East ended up winning 54-52.

Boys Basketball:  This year we welcomed back Coach Danny Nix from Burkburnett.  Many of you might remember that in 1996, the Oil Bowl had its first basketball game and Coach Nix was the coach of the Texas team.  Since he announced his retirement back in April, it was a great honor to have him coach for us one last time.  Unfortunately, even though his team pushed hard late, the West pulled away in the 4th quarter for the 76-69 win. Ironically this game is the one and only time that Coach Tucker from Holliday has ever beaten Coach Nix.

2023:  Friday night started with Girls Basketball @ Rider.  The West team took an early lead being led by Iowa Park's Cameron Horn and Rider's McKenzie Lammers.  The game was tied up in the 2nd quarter and was pretty tight the rest of the game.  Rider's Lammers scored 13 pts, while Jacksboro's Erin Jonas put up 11 and Old High's Heaven Mayo 12.  West team managed to stay ahead at the buzzer with a score of West 61 and East 56.  On the Boys game:  It was almost point for point until Bowie's Brody Armstrong made a big push late in the 3rd quarter, keeping the East ahead 66 to 58.  Armstrong ended up with 17 points on the night.  While neither game was high scoring, all of these kids put on a show that the crowd loved.
