2021:  The 2021 game actually started really slow.  The first 2 possessions of both teams equaled nothing.  UNTIL ..... East all star inside linebacker Dominick Taylor from Boyd got ejected from the game for a late hit.  At that point, it looked grim for coaches Freeman and Smiley.  Especially since during the week Coach Freeman said he only had 5 linemen total for offense and defense AND he just lost a really amazing inside linebacker. This young man is a beast ....... up until his ejection, he probably accounted for 55% of the East's tackles solo.  We look forward to seeing what happens with him as an MSU Mustang.  From here Coach Tackett and Coach McLemore hammered down on the East and made it a 2 possession game. But late in the 3rd quarter it looked like the West all stars just wore down and Coach Freeman and Coach Smiley turned the table and beat the West all starts 23-17.

2022:  For 2022 we had to move the game to Iowa Park's Hawk Stadium, since the new turf at Memorial Stadium wasn't completed in time for the game.  The football competition actually started Froday night at the basketball game.  The East team selected Baron Brown from Henrietta and the West selected Austin Jones from Holliday to compete in a shoot out for the home side of the stadium.  While Baron fell behind early, he came back and won giving the East team the home side.  The East's dominance didn'tstop there.  The East scored on their opening drive and were up 28-0 at the half.  The West struggled all night to get the ball moving, and at the end it was an East victory 42-14.

2023:  Everything started off beautifully for the 86th Annual Maskat Shrine Oil Bowl Football Classic.  We were honored to have Wichita Falls High School UIL state vocal soloist qualifier, sophomore, Ava Fukasawa deliver our National Anthem.  This year we decided to adopt the new XFL kickoff rules to make sure no one was injured, and it put a new spin on the game.  The West put the first points on the board in the 2nd quarter with a safety.  Then we had a lightning strike within 8 miles, so we had to delay the game.  After a hefty downpour that lasted until almost 10 o'clock, we were able to get back on the field by 10:30.  Since the rain used up so much time the coaches all agreed that we would just run the clock for the 3rd and 4th quarters with no stops.  Unfortunately the East never got on the board with the West being victorious 21 to 0.
