Dear Oil Bowl Player,
Congratulations on your selection to the 2013 All-Star Oil Bowl Team. This will be the 76th playiin and is in one of the oldest All-Star Football Games in the country. We want to take this opportunity not only to congratulate you, but also pass on some information that both you and your family may need. Items to bring:
- ALL YOUR PRACTICE GEAR including any special pads. One pair of white practice pants, socks, and gloves. You will be issued a game jersey and pants which will be turned in at the end of the game.
- Toiletry articles.
- Portable TV’s and video games.
- Spending money
- If the game is recorded, you can purchase the game video for $40.00. You can order it ahead of time or sometime after you arrive in Wichita Falls. There is an order form (PDF file) on the HOME page of this website that you can print and use to order the video. Forms will also be available at the Hall of Fame Banquet and at the Football Game. Your game video will be mailed to you several weeks after the game. You will also be able to order team and individual pictures (info is on this website)
- You may bring any special pillows or blankets that you wish; however, ALL linens, etc., are furnished by Pierce (or Killingsworth) Hall (940-397-7510). You will pick-up your linens when you check-in.
Oil Bowl Banquet
- The 2013 Oil Bowl Banquet will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14th at Maskat Shrine Center located at 5101 Henry S. Grace Freeway, Wichita Falls, Texas. Tickets are $15.00 and will be available at the door. They can also be purchased in advance. Call Maskat Shrine (940-766-4511) for details. We encourage all parents, friends, and relatives to attend the Oil Bowl Banquet.
- The dress for football players is game jersey and slacks. Dress for the banquet is casual–Sunday dress is appropriate for women and slacks and golf shirt for men.
Miscellaneous Information
- You, or your transportation provider, will be paid round-trip bus fare from where you played high school football to Wichita Falls. This will be arranged on Saturday, June 15th
- All meals are provided.
- Your eligibility is in no way affected by your participation in the Oil Bowl.
- If you know a young lady who is interested in competing in the 2013 Oil Bowl Queen Contest, please contact any of the above listed Oil Bowl Representatives. This is always a highlight of each Oil Bowl Game.
